The property has been sympathetically refurbished retaining many of its original features including black beams and low doors and ceilings. The owners live next door. It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds and sleeps four with additional accommodation in the form of a double sofa bed in the sitting room making a total of six. Off road parking is available. Accommodation is offered with the use of the owners heated swimming pool next door when the weather permits. The pool is heated using modern solar equipment. The pool is 30' x 15' and has steps into the shallow end and is 3'3- 7'6 deep. It is situated in a sunny mainly private location surrounded by a pleasant garden and lawns adjacent the park. The lawn is ideal for sunbathing. The pool is fenced all around. The pool is open Mid May to Early September.
Pat's Cottage is within easy reach of the pretty Peak District villages and towns of Hathersage, Hope, Castleton, Baslow and Bakewell as well as Ladybower Reservoir, Chatsworth House and Hadden Hall. There is fine walking from the door in addition to the fabulous walks of the Peak District. The City of Sheffield is within easy reach. Two universities are close to hand with good public transport. Dore village which is steeped in history is only about 5 minutes walk away. In the past a battle was fought here for England's Crown.
From Sheffield follow either the A625 Hathersage/Sheffield road or A621 Baslow/Sheffield road and follow the signs to Dore. From the South on the M1, exit Junction 29, take the A617 to Chesterfield, take the A61 towards Sheffield and turn left on the outskirts.
