Our traditional stone cottages are set around a peaceful courtyard and fountain with large adjoining gardens that contains a Garden house and barbecue and play area. They retain much of their original rustic character with open beamed ceilings, traditional stone fireplaces and pan tile roofs so typical of the area. These spacious cottages have superbly equipped kitchens and are furnished to an extremely high standard with the emphasis on comfort and relaxation. If you would like to take some of the “self” out of self-catering or would like to celebrate a special occasion we can prepare a gourmet meal for you and personally served in your cottage. Specialty catering can be arranged for birthdays, anniversaries, picnics and barbecues and we also have a range of locally produced frozen meals to suit most tastes.

Our Cottage are at the gateway to the North York Moors National Park, so take time to discover their spectacular rolling hills, heather clad moorland, forests and pretty villages (Heartbeat & Harry Potter country). Within a short drive is Yorkshire’s heritage coastline of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey with their sandy beaches, towering cliffs, bird reserves and tiny fishing villages or the ancient city walls and narrow cobbled streets of the historic city of York with its famous York Minster. All around us the area has some of the finest stately homes, castles, museums, theme parks, zoo, working farms and breweries or be energetic - go rambling, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, and quad biking, fishing or play golf.
