The sandy beach at nearby Lac de Gurson is always popular, with its swimminglake and adventure playground. While away lazy hours while you sip your coffee or wine, or enjoy a meal at the restaurant. There is wine tasting within walking distance, or we can arrange a private wine tasting at the manor (extra charge). St Emilion, famous for its wines and largest monolithic church in Europe (World Heritage UNESCO site) is a favourite day out, and the climb to the top of the tower affords a fantastic view over the Dordogne valley. Other suggested places to visit are: Castillon-la-Bataille, St Foy, Périgueux, Brantôme (V|enice of the Périgord), Bergerac, Montbazillac, Bordeaux, Arcachon and the Dune de Pyla (largest sand dune in Europe at 108m above sea level). You can choose to have a hot-air balloon trip, and float gently over the manor (wind permitting) for a unique view of the landscape. Cycling, walking, canoeing, bird-watching & more.
